5 Steps: Avocado Rosette Tarts

Are you a tart person or a pie person? The ingredient list is simple, natural and the tart couldn’t be easier to put together. It stays wonderfully in the freezer too so you can have always have some on hand to crush a summer dessert craving.

Serves: 4

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Cool Time: 1 hour


  • 12 dates
  • 1 cup (100 g) walnut halves
  • ¾ cup (100g) cashews
  • 3 tbsp, cocoa butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1 handful walnuts
  • 2 avocados – sliced
  • 1 juice of lemon


  1. Roughly blend the dates, walnut halves and cashews together with the melted cocoa butter
  2. Pour the mix into cupcake paper liners and refrigerate for 1 hour
  3. Over medium heat, heat up the coconut sugar and handful of walnuts for 5 minutes and then roughly blend it as well
  4. Dip the avocado slices with lemon juice and form a rosette pattern by arranging the avocado slices on top as per the diagram above
  5. Pour the heated up coconut sugar and walnut from step #4 on top and enjoy!
