Feel free to use unsweetened almond milk or soy milk. By 12 months most toddlers should be able to use an open cup to slurp up a smoothie. Straw cups are another – less messy – option.
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup packed baby spinach
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds
Add all of the ingredients to the blender, beginning with the milk. Cover and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
