4 Easy Steps: Creating Waves with Straightener

Step #1:

Start with completely dry hair. Beginning at the nape of the neck, section out your hair in 1-2-in (2.5-5-cm) sections. Hairspray each section if your hair is curl resistant.

Step #2:

Clamp the straightener down in the middle of a section.

Step #3:

Flip your wrist around so that the hair is wrapped around the straightener.

Step #4:

Pull the straightener straight out in a fast, steady movement and release when it gets to the ends. Repeat this technique, working from the nape of your neck up to the top of your head. Run your fingers through your hair to comb out the curls and finish with hairspray if necessary.
