4 Easy Steps: Dutch Braid in a Ponytail

Step #1:

Starting at the part of your hair, divide a section of hair into three small, even sections. Take the small piece of hair closest to the part and cross it under into the middle section. Then take the small section of hair from around the hairline and go under into the middle section.

Step #2:

Now add hair into your braid as you work the hair back Do this by working from right to left, adding a small piece of hair to each small section on the outside of the braid as you go. First, add a piece of hair from the right.

Step #3:

Add a small piece of hair from the left. Continue for a few inches back around your hairline and then work a three-strand braid. Secure the ends with a hair elastic.

Step #4:

Gather all of the hair; with your Dutch braid, toward the crown area, and make a ponytail. Secure with a hair elastic and hairspray to finish.
