Section out both sides of the hair in front of the ears and clip back.
Create a low pony at the nape of neck and secure it with a hair elastic.
Drop out the sections in front. Take a 1-2-in (2.5-5-cm) section above the left ear and clip back the rest. Twist back, going toward the ponytail on the other side. If your hair is really long, wrap the ends around your ponytail. Secure the end of the twist with bobby pins.
Repeat this technique on the right side. Always work left to right so that the twists lie on top of each other. Then drop the next section on your left (If your hair is really thick you may need to do more than two twists on each side.)
Twist back your remaining hair, drape it across to the opposite side of your ponytail, and bobby pin into place. Repeat on the right side. Finish off by using a medium-hold hairspray.
