8 Easy Steps: Elegant Low Bun

1.Start with a part on the right side. Divide off a section of hair, 2″ back from the hairline, down to the top of the right ear. Clip off the front section with a clip. Repeat this step on the left side, sectioning off a portion of hair from the part down to the top of the left ear, clipping off the front section.

2.Brush through the back section of hair to remove any tangles. Sweep the hair in this section into a low ponytail. Wrap a clear elastic band over the hair, creating a bun by pulling the hair halfway through on the last loop.

3.Pick up the end of the hair that didn’t get pulled through the loop in the previous step and twist it together.

4.Wrap the twist around the hair elastic and continue wrapping until the entire piece is wrapped and you are holding the very end. Then pin down the end with a bobby pin. Be sure to hide the pin by sliding it into the hair, under the bun.

5.Take the hair that you previously pinned on the right side, spray it with hairspray, then comb through it to smooth it down. Lay the section over the top of the bun and wrap it counter-clockwise around the bun until you are holding the very end of the section.

6.Pin down the end of the wrapped piece to secure it around the bun.

7.Take the hair that you previously pinned on the left side, spray it with hairspray, then comb through it to smooth it down. Drape this section over the top of the bun, as in the previous step, but wrap it clockwise around the bun, and continue wrapping until you are holding the very end.

8.Pin down the end of the wrapped piece to secure it around the bun. Liberally spray the style with hairspray and smooth your hands over the hair to lay down any loose hairs.
