Step #1:
Tip your head back and divide the hair in three equal sections, 1-2 in (2.5-5 cm) away from the hairline. You work the Dutch-braid technique underhanded, so hold your fingers upward. Take the left section underneath into the middle. This is your new middle section.
Step #2:
Take the right side section and go underneath the middle section. This is your new middle section.
Step #3:
Add hair as you work toward the nape. First add a small section of hair on the left side into your left section and take that whole section into the middle. Repeat on the other side and keep alternating.
Step #4:
When you don’t have any more hair to add, continue doing a normal three-strand braid. Secure the ends with a hair elastic.
Step #5:
Pull on each side of your braid to create bulk and fullness. Finish this look by pulling your hair upward at the hairline and hairspraying it.
