5 Easy Steps: Half-Crown Dutch Braid

Step #1:

Start with dry hair. You can wear this style with straight hair or add some waves or curls to make the braid a little fuller. Part your hair on the desired side, take a 2-in (5-cm) section of hair at the parting and divide it into three.

Step #2:

Create a Dutch braid on the left side of your hair, working your braid underhanded.

Step #3:

Incorporating hair from the right side of the braid only, braid until you get to the back of your head. If you have leftover hair, make a three-strand braid. Secure the ends with a hair elastic.

Step #4:

Make a Dutch braid in the same way on the right side of your head. This time you will incorporate hair from the left side of the braid.

Step #5:

Take the ends of each braid, wrap them across the back of your head, and bobby pin into place. Finish with medium-hold hairspray.
