Beginners Yoga for Children: Standing Pose – Moon Arc

Because standing postures require no equipment and very little space, they can be practiced anytime, anywhere. They can be suggested to your child during a lengthy wait, possibly inviting other children and making it a group game.

This pose is recommended to improve the flexibility of your child’s spine. Because it stretches the stomach muscles and the intestines, it also improves digestion.

  1. Stand legs with your slightly apart.
  2. As you inhale, slowly raise your arms.
  3. Keep your arms extended.
  4. Slightly bend backward.
  5. Exhale while coming back to your original position.
  6. Repeat three times.
