Because standing postures require no equipment and very little space, they can be practiced anytime, anywhere. They can be suggested to your child during a lengthy wait, possibly inviting other children and making it a group game.
This pose represents the different phases of the moon. It stretches the back muscles and works the spine.
- Stand with your legs apart. Inhale while bringing your arms up and join your hands above your head.
- Stretch as much as you can to the right, while exhaling. Maintain the position for a few seconds, breathing normally.
- Come back to the initial position.
- Switch sides. Repeat three times on each side.
